"Scratches (Notebook) (.txt)" refers to John Baldessari's work "I will not make boring art anymore". These are school notebooks filled with erasures masking a writing that never took place, but whose narrative was mentally built up as it was filled. A long and somewhat punishing performance for which these notebooks are the only visible and tangible trace, as much as the memory of thoughts kept secret thoughts.
